I’m a recent graduate of Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a bachelor's degree in Newspaper and Online Journalism.
I have covered five Division I Syracuse teams, including women’s basketball and men’s soccer, as a beat reporter for The Daily Orange, interviewing athletes, coaches, and their families to craft over 140 articles. You can view my writer archives here.
My last two summers were devoted to creating sports content. During summer 2018, I was a beat reporter for the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod Baseball League, where I wrote or co-wrote over 80 articles and managed the team’s Twitter and Facebook accounts, helping attract over 1,000 new followers across platforms. You can view my writer archives here.
During summer 2019, I was a content intern for The Basketball Tournament, where I managed the Twitter accounts of three teams and the Instagram accounts of two. I also did extensive research on 10 teams for ESPN Networks broadcasters and TBT’s official Twitter.
In spring 2020, I worked as a digital editor for The Newshouse as part of my capstone course, Digital News & Innovation. I managed two Twitter accounts (@Newshouse and @NewshouseSports), posted stories using WordPress, and analyzed daily and weekly trends using Google Analytics. I was part of The Newshouse's three-person social media team for its #HighStakesNY project in April 2020. We won first place for the Associated College Press' Social Media Promotion award in October 2020.
Since graduating in May 2020, I have worked as a freelance writer for Constant Content, freelance transcriber, youth and adult soccer referee, and operations employee for East Coast Kombucha in Norwalk, CT.
In February 2021, I became certified in Google Digital Garage, a 40-hour digital marketing course provided by Google consisting of 26 modules and a final exam.
